On Tuesday, July 18th, we are delighted to announce that we will be hosting Brett from Reptiles Up Close for a captivating show in honor of World Snake Day. If your family doesn't typically attend childcare on this day, no worries! You can book an additional day so that everyone can join in the fun and see these amazing creatures up close.
World Snake Day, observed on July 16th each year, is an opportunity to learn, appreciate, and have a great time with snakes. It holds significance as it aims to promote awareness and understanding about these remarkable creatures and their importance in our ecosystem. Snakes play a vital role in maintaining the balance of nature, and World Snake Day helps dispel myths and misconceptions that often surround them.
To make this day even more exciting, we have invited Brett from Reptiles Up Close to provide an interactive and educational program for children and families. Brett is a knowledgeable and experienced presenter who will introduce participants to a variety of reptiles, including snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, and even a crocodile! This show promises to be a truly unforgettable experience.
During the Reptiles Up Close show, children will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with a diverse range of reptiles. They will meet three unique lizards, a large python, and even a small python that everyone can have a cuddle with. Additionally, a turtle, a frog, and a crocodile will also make an appearance, adding to the excitement.
The show, which lasts for approximately an hour, is designed to be hands-on, educational, and great fun for all. To ensure that every child gets a chance to see and touch the animals, we will arrange them in a circle. Throughout the show, Brett will engage the children with various hand action and animal movement games, keeping them entertained and involved. Volunteers may even be called upon to assist with handling some of the animals.
